A vodka martini (shaken, not stirred), an old Aston Martin, and a Walther PPK in a leather holster are all good company for our Black Tie knives. What is not readily apparent is that each of these knives is made up of 19 parts that are individually coated with Black and Gold Titanium Nitride. Nobody else is this refined. What makes these space-age little gems even more beautiful is that they are also affordable! It brings the classic lockback design into the 21st century thanks to S.A.T.™ (SOG Assisted Technology), the blade is propelled open once the operator has initiated the one-handed opening action. Invented by Spencer Frazer, the Blink is the fiendishly simple gentleman’s knife with a naughty attitude. The reversible money clip can be used in either left or right side pockets for low-carry or securing dollar bills and cards. Also included is a small safety that helps insure the knife won’t open until you’re ready. The safety can be engaged once the blade is open so that the locking bar cannot be released. So, in essence, you have two locks. *Rarity Note: Limited production as the Blink Black Tie was only available from 2004 – 2005, which makes it very difficult to obtain today.
